XVI Andrianov Conference

Organosilicon Compounds: Synthesis, Properties, Applications

to the 120th Anniversary of Academician K.A. Andrianov

June 02-06, 2024

INEOS RAS, Moscow, Russia

Dear Colleagues!

We cordially invite you to participate in the XVI Andrianov Conference, commemorating the 120th anniversary of the birth of Academician K.A. Andrianov – a distinguished chemist and pioneer of organosilicon chemistry, who founded the national school of this field.

Silicone chemistry continues to thrive worldwide, with an annual production volume growth averaging 5-7%. This is driven by the widespread demand for silicones in various fields, from aerospace and construction to household products, cosmetics, and medicine.

As production scales up, there is a growing concern about reducing the environmental impact in terms of aggressive waste and high energy consumption. The task for fundamental science in this crucial area is clear and specific – transitioning to chlorine-free technologies throughout the silicone production chain, from monomer synthesis to the final product release, including entirely new formulations that have no analogs in previous technological cycles.

The aim of this event is to engage young scientists and engineers, specialists, postgraduates, and students in the development of a new scientific and technical framework for silicone production. It seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue among leading experts in science and industry, facilitate the exchange of up-to-date information, and encourage discussions on the latest advancements in this scientific field.

Academician K.A. Andrianov
The program includes plenary lectures by prominent Russian and international scientists actively engaged in silicone chemistry, as well as oral presentations and poster sessions.

As part of the conference, a roundtable discussion “Silicones: Turning Scientific Breakthroughs into Thriving Business” will take place on June 04 at 15:00.

Main topics of the conference:
  • Synthesis, Structure, and Properties of Novel Organosilicon Compounds and Polymers.
  • Development of New Materials, Including Hybrid, Derived from Silicones.
  • Exploring Innovative Applications for Silicones.
